What is Telus at SOU?
Southern Oregon University has teamed up with Telus Health Student Support to ensure all students can connect with a mental health professional 24 hours a day from anywhere in the world. Students can access mental health counselors online, through an app, or by phone. These resources are free and confidential.
This resource is perfect for immediate, short-term support for common challenges. Here are some examples:

- Understanding your learning style and succeeding at schoo
- Improving relationships with friends and family
- Dealing with feelings of isolation, stress, worry, sadness, loneliness, and much more
- Working through frustration or uncertainty about studies or post-graduation plans

Telus is available to all students enrolled at SOU. Students can connect with Telus Health Student Support in these ways:
- Visit the Telus website, click “Student login,” and search for Southern Oregon University in the list of schools. You’ll be asked your name, preferred language, and to consent to this service.
- Download the app from the App Store or Google Play.
